阿诺拉布拉多？
谢邀 第一次知道ABD，是通过《角斗士》。当时在影院里，看到最后“主角”和“反派”殊死搏斗的场景，真的激动万分。 后来，因为对古拉丁语的浓厚兴趣，了解了更多关于拉丁文的经典作品，《伊利亚特》、《奥德赛》……还有《神曲》，但让我一直念念不忘的，还是《角斗士》，里面那些荡气回肠的词句。
比如，“我是罗马人，我的血液里流着尚武的热血（Mors est lux emarmora）”“我生来就是统治者，而不是被统治者！（Natus sum regis， non rex）”“你们可以夺走我的尊严，但是不能夺走我的勇气（Ne arcessitis pudicitiam meam， quae si forte sine virtute erit）” 电影里的台词翻译成现代汉语大概是这样的： “我是战斗的人，我的血液里流动着勇敢的基因。” “我没有敌人，也没有失败，只有战死的英雄，以及因幸运而不朽的懦夫。” “你可以夺去我的生命，但你无法战胜我。我活着，就为你而死。” 而原著中的拉丁语版本则是这样的： “Sapientia est bella (mors est lux amoris). Quem ad decorem vincunt， neminem capiunt. Venio ad victoriam velut aurora. Vos olim nunc habeatis diem pacis， ita ubi cito veniet gloria. Eo quidem animus meus ardens iuventus exsultat； atque antea mox moriens， vivit in corpore futuri mortis mei．” “I am the man of war， my blood begets heroic deeds. I was born to rule， not to be ruled. Here I come like dawn， bringing victory with me or a day of peace. You will have your day of glory soon， and then you shall have a peace beyond your hopes， as I die young， living again in the body that is destined to death.” “You can take away my life， but you cannot take away my pride(sp.). I am proud to be alive when so many are dying of hunger and cold. I am a warrior who has given his all－he who has nothing left to give， what has he to lose？” 语言的魅力就在于此吧，同样的意思，用不同的表达方式，瞬间可以高大上起来。
所以，从那时候起，我就爱上了这两种语言——拉丁文和希腊文。 它们都是我生命中不可或缺的一部分——如果只能允许我保留一种，那一定是拉丁文。 因为我的人生是《伊利亚特》和《奥德赛》——抑或《神曲》的混血儿。 我的血液中流淌着古希腊罗马人的热血。 我生来就是为了征服的。 欢迎关注我的公众号“经典英文名著精读”(ID：classicalreading)，一起读经典吧～
